What you will own

  • Coordinate end-to-end employee onboarding across APAC markets, from kickoff preparation to first-day readiness and post-onboarding follow-up.
  • Host onboarding calls with employees and clients, explain required documentation, and make sure next steps are clear and completed on time.
  • Collect, review, and organize employment documents, onboarding forms, employee data, and country-specific requirements with strong attention to confidentiality.
  • Maintain HR operations knowledge base articles, onboarding checklists, templates, and internal SOPs so delivery teams work from one accurate source.
  • Coordinate with payroll, compliance, finance, customer success, and local partners to resolve onboarding blockers before they affect the employee experience.
  • Track onboarding progress, identify recurring operational gaps, and recommend process improvements that make APAC delivery more predictable.

What you will bring

  • Experience in HR operations, employee onboarding, EOR operations, people operations, or a related coordination-heavy role.
  • Strong ownership of details, deadlines, documentation, and follow-through across multiple active cases.
  • Professional written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly with employees, clients, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work with local-language employee documents and market-specific onboarding requirements; each opening lists the required language for that hiring market.
  • Comfort working with HR systems, spreadsheets, shared documentation, ticketing tools, and structured operational trackers.
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion and strong data discipline.
  • Comfort working remotely while keeping APAC stakeholders informed across multiple active onboarding cases.

Market and language fit

  • Based in Malaysia, with remote working hours that can support APAC onboarding operations.
  • Professional written and spoken English is required for client, employee, and internal communication.
  • Bahasa Malaysia fluency is required for local employee coordination, document follow-up, and market-specific operating details.
  • Mandarin Chinese is a plus for cross-border APAC stakeholder support.

Helpful context

  • Experience in EOR, global payroll, HR outsourcing, staffing, or international employment services.
  • Knowledge of onboarding practices in Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, or other APAC markets.
  • Mandarin Chinese or another additional APAC language.
