What you will own
- Research employment, payroll, leave, benefits, onboarding, termination, and worker classification requirements for assigned countries.
- Maintain country knowledge base content, internal compliance notes, operating checklists, and SOPs with clear ownership of accuracy and effective dates.
- Translate regulatory updates into practical guidance for HR operations, payroll, customer success, finance, and product stakeholders.
- Review country-level operating standards and identify gaps between documented requirements and day-to-day delivery workflows.
- Support internal escalations when client or employee cases involve country-specific employment compliance questions.
- Work with legal, payroll, operations, and local experts to validate findings before they become operational guidance.
What you will bring
- Experience in employment compliance, HR compliance, legal operations, HR operations, global mobility, EOR operations, or regulatory research.
- Strong research discipline and the ability to turn complex country rules into clear, structured operating guidance.
- Excellent written English and strong documentation habits, especially around sources, dates, assumptions, and open questions.
- Ability to review local-language source material for the hiring market shown on this opening.
- Comfort working with employment topics such as contracts, leave, benefits, payroll obligations, onboarding, termination, and worker classification.
- High attention to detail and the judgment to flag uncertainty rather than overstate conclusions.
Market and language fit
- Based in Singapore, with working hours that support APAC compliance research and internal review cycles.
- Excellent written and spoken English is required for documentation, source notes, and cross-functional guidance.
- Working fluency in at least one Singapore local language is required for local-source review and stakeholder context.
- Mandarin Chinese is a plus for APAC compliance research and cross-border stakeholder support.
Helpful context
- Knowledge of French, Italian, Spanish, Singapore, EU, or APAC employment frameworks.
- Additional APAC or European language capability beyond the required market language.
